what’s more exciting that eating chocolate?
Perhaps, drinking some?
Sure. Let’s try that today!
I have always been fascinated by the idea of hot chocolate but it didn’t quite seem economical and set-well-with-my health. Drinking melted chocolate all by yourself? That isn’t going to get a nod from my mom. hmm, I feel like a child now. I may be one too! You never know.
A hot tea for a weather like this -cloudy with a chance of rainfall- sounds good but a cup of hot cocoa drink is better!
I haven’t seen the second installment of that movie. I really wished they stopped with the first one.
Add cardamom to anything and it instantly reminds me of Payasam – an Indian semi-liquid dessert. It is eternally etched in our genes that cardamom equals Payasam or at least in the southern parts of Tamil Nadu, India or perhaps only to my taste buds?
I was never a fan of the traditional Payasam. Sure, I like the ingredients in their solitary form but not when they are married. It seemed a little off.
Ingredients that has no relation to each other come together? That must be very hard for them. Just like people from various backgrounds come together, work through the differences and provide a valuable outcome for a good cause.
Same goes for some relationships where two people are completely opposite to each other, yet wants to work thru the differences and make the relationship work. After all, love binds us all.
I am talking about everything but the recipe, aren’t I? I was observing blogs and each has their own style. Some purely talks about the taste of the food or where they first ate it or how they come up with the recipe and then there are some, like me, who rambles(good ramble) on and on about life, weather, movies and other things about their life.
The whole point of blogging is to enjoy what you do, isn’t it? That doesn’t mean I shouldn’t talk about the colour, texture or tastes of the food I make. I believed in the food memory theory. I was relying strongly on those senses and boy, did they betray me?
That day onward I thought to myself, ‘Jay, Just do it! Like the Nike style. You can simply write how they tastes while they are still simmering in your mouth.’
Moral of the story: I need more food vocabulary.
Texture: Liquid. No rocket science there. It’s a drink.
Taste: Like the evergreen Indian drink,
- Payasam
- Cardamom tea
- Cocoa drink, hehe.
Onto the recipe!
