The ‘feed a cold’ easy Indian vegetable soup

The ‘feed a cold’ easy Indian vegetable soup

It’s raining here! That means my common cold might come back and I need extra immunity boost. The ‘feed a cold’ easy Indian vegetable soup could be our chance at beating it.

I have exactly been doing how they say, ‘feed a cold and starve a fever.’ I might have hydrated myself more than I did the whole year. It was that much hot water! On a side note, a tisk tisk is needed for stainless steel flask.

I would have made this soup at the very first day if our pantry wasn’t missing one or the other ingredient.  It isn’t even complete today. I thought of adding wheat dumplings but ran out of wheat flour :/

This recipe was born out of boredom one rainy evening. I don’t think I included Everyday Madras Curry Powder to the equation. I was simply throwing in any vegetable my hand can reach. I probably made it with rice noodles which is something I buy very rarely. I miss them. I have been missing a lot of things lately. Strange.

Any recipe is easy when all you are going to do is throw them into a pot, add water and boil.

In my honest opinion, everyday curry powder [Click to get the recipe or you can find them in the sidebar] can totally be eliminated and the soup be consumed as it is. They have an upside, though. The spiciness can clear sinus and what’s better way to do it. Well, I could recommend shallow frying mutton chops with simple seasoning of curry powder, salt and pepper. Yum yum. Nevertheless lets keep calm and wait for a Sunday!

Movie update: Watched a foreign movie after a very long time. I wish my usual site shows some mercy and have 360p as an option. Don’t judge me! That’s how I roll.

It was a Turkish movie. I only knew about the infamous reputation Polish movies had for being sappy and tragic but I didn’t think the same was applicable for Turkish. I did manage to find a very good Hollywood style Polish rom-com once and now I forgot its name. Darn.

I love you, man(Seni Seviyorum Adamim) is the movie. You can find the English subtitled one on YouTube. Cliched but a good one. Watch it for a Turkish delight named Barış Kılıç, male lead of the movie. Hehe.
